Mr.
Collins earned a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering
from the University of Massachusetts-Lowell in
1987, an M.B.A. from Bentley College in 1993,
and a J.D. from Suffolk University Law School
in 2006. He is a registered Patent Attorney.
Mr. Collins has more than 15 years
industry experience, including experience in areas
such as computer hardware and software, telecommunications,
digital communications, and electromechanical
control systems. Mr. Collins has held key engineering
and sales positions with established pioneers
such as Digital Equipment Corporation, BBN Communications
Corporation, and VideoServer, Inc. He began his
career at Digital Equipment Corporation, where
he participated in the design and quality assurance
testing of next-generation data storage devices.
At BBN Communications, he contributed to the development
of packet-switch network products. At VideoServer,
he designed multimedia-based communication networks
for Fortune 500 companies and government agencies.
Since joining Mills & Onello LLP, Mr. Collins
has been involved in the preparation and prosecution
of U.S. and foreign patent applications, with
areas of technical concentration in semiconductor
devices and semiconductor fabrication methods,
digital and analog circuits and systems, microprocessor
architecture, communications systems, control
systems optical devices, and medical devices.
Mr. Collins has also been involved in the preparation
and prosecution of trademark applications. |
